Handbook for Farmer: Regenerative organic Agriculture Training for Coconut Farmers

The handbook, developed by the Regenerative Coconut Agriculture Project (ReCAP) in collaboration with the Thai Department of Agriculture and international partners, aims to support Nam Hom coconut farmers in transitioning from traditional monoculture to a sustainable regenerative organic farming system. The material is structured into eight learning modules that provide step-by-step guidance, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice and field visits. It focuses on strengthening farmer capacity through key topics such as soil health management and assessment, on-farm composting and vermicompost techniques, biological integrated pest management (IPM), and the use of native bees to optimize pollination efficiency. Beyond technical solutions, the handbook also builds agricultural business management skills and guides farmers in developing concrete action plans to diversify intercropping value chains, thereby reducing vulnerability to climate change and improving income stability.
