Tri Luc commune (Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province) is one of the first three localities to pilot a sustainable rice-shrimp rotation model under WWF's initiative to develop bankable nature-based solutions in the Mekong Delta. The model is funded by the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD); and implemented by Minh Phu Social Company Limited.
Following one year of implementation, the sustainable shrimp-rice farming model in Tri Luc commune has achieved highly favorable outcomes. Notably, in October 2022, Tri Luc commune’s rice-shrimp production group was awarded the first ASC international certification in Vietnam for practicing responsible aquaculture.
