Organic rice presents Cambodia with an opportunity to link rural livelihoods, food safety, and environmental sustainability. However, adoption remains modest due to weak market incentives, payment delays, and the lack of a clear national policy. Strengthening cooperatives, improving market access, and stronger government support will be key to realizing its potential.
