The Effectiveness of Drip Irrigation System on Vegetable Master Farmer (MF) in Balang Sethaphy Agricultural Cooperative (BSAC)

This document highlights the agricultural success story of Mrs. LORK Chankhim, a designated Master Farmer within Kampong Thom's Balang Sethaphy Agricultural Cooperative (BSAC). Managing a high-demand diversified vegetable plot alongside rice and cassava crops, her family previously faced severe labor constraints and spent up to four hours daily on traditional field irrigation. Supported by technical capacity-building and specialized drip irrigation infrastructure from Uni4Coop and seed distributions from Helen Keller International, Chankhim successfully lowered production overhead, optimized water distribution, and decreased weed density. These technological modifications ultimately increased crop yields, boosted family revenue, and prompted community-wide farmer-to-farmer agricultural innovation sharing.
