Manual for Trainers: Regenerative organic Agriculture Training for Coconut Farmers

This technical handbook is designed to standardize methodologies and strengthen the capacity of master trainers who support Nam Hom coconut farmers in transitioning from traditional monoculture to a sustainable regenerative organic farming system. The training curriculum is structured into eight comprehensive modules, covering foundational theory, hands-on practice, and field-based learning on soil health management, organic fertilization, biological pest control (IPM), and agricultural business management skills. A distinctive feature of this handbook is its in-depth guidance on pedagogy, encouraging trainers to use interactive, participatory approaches through group discussions rather than one-way lectures, while also recommending co-facilitation by at least two trainers to improve classroom management and training effectiveness.
