ALiSEA

We are an open coalition of stakeholders, promoting agroecology transition, and organized as an informal network named The Agroecology Learning alliance in South East Asia (ALiSEA). We envision a future where agroecology is recognized and mainstreamed, catalyzing a transition to healthy, resilient, sustainable, and fair food systems in the Mekong region. In this envisioned future, participatory governance models, enabling policies, localized markets and diets, strong cooperative social models and sustainable farming practices thrive. These elements work harmoniously to provide innovative and equal job opportunities for the well-skilled new generation, all while ensuring the preservation, fair distribution, and responsible use of natural resources.

To support this regional transition towards agroecology, our goal is to enable local and regional agroecology stakeholders to leverage one another’s expertise to produce evidence-based studies and share them broadly, by creating a safe space for stakeholders to engage and learn from each other, providing visible benefits for all participants.

We have 3 folded objectives:

-Strengthen knowledge & experience sharing among initiatives & actors,
-Increase the visibility and credibility of the agroecological movement towards policy makers and consumers,
-Scale up the development and adoption of agroecological practices among farmers.
