ADF
The Archaeology and Development Foundation (ADF) is a British-registered not-for-profit organization (registered charity in England and Wales, No. 1122750) that has been implementing the Phnom Kulen Program since 2008. In 2016, ADF was officially registered as an international NGO in Cambodia by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
ADF was established to deepen the understanding of the origins of the Khmer Empire in the Phnom Kulen region while ensuring that local communities living around the archaeological sites are actively involved in their protection and benefit from improved livelihoods. In addition to conducting archaeological research and excavations, ADF carries out a range of initiatives to support local villagers, including promoting sustainable agricultural practices and agroecology for family farmers, enhancing education, improving water and sanitation, and fostering environmental protection and awareness.
