This presentation by Hla Myint Aung, Deputy Director General of Myanmar’s Department of Agriculture, outlines the current status, challenges, and opportunities for agricultural extension in Myanmar. It provides an overview of the agricultural sector, describes the vision and mission of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (MOALI), reviews extension approaches and methods used, highlights key constraints faced by the extension network, and suggests ways forward to strengthen extension services through policy changes, capacity building, and stakeholder collaboration.
