This document outlines the ALiSEA project led by the Agriculture and Forestry Research & Development Center for Mountainous Regions (ADC) in Northern Vietnam. The project focuses on promoting indigenous knowledge-based, climate change-resilient, and organic farming practices in Bac Kan Province and beyond.
Key activities include consolidating and documenting sustainable farming methods, organizing training workshops, and facilitating knowledge sharing among farmers, civil society organizations, and local government officials. The project has promoted the adoption of eco-friendly farming practices, such as banana intercrops and green bean cultivation, benefiting at least 200 households. Despite challenges like time and budget constraints, the project has significantly contributed to scaling up agroecological practices and improving climate resilience in the region.
