This document presents an initiative aimed at scaling up Conservation Agriculture (CA) practices in maize-based systems in Northwest Vietnam. Maize is a crucial crop for local households, contributing significantly to their income, yet soil erosion remains a major challenge. The project seeks to overcome barriers to CA adoption by building networks of pioneer farmers, providing capacity-building activities, and supporting scaling-out efforts. The goal is to control soil erosion and improve both total and net incomes for farmers, starting with small-scale, localized efforts and expanding through local government initiatives.
