CENRes

The College of Environment and Natural Resources (CENRes), Can Tho University, established according to Decision No.81/QĐ-ĐHCT in 2008, is one of the educational and research institutions in Can Tho University. The college conducts its programs and activities guided by Vision, Missions and Core Values of the university.

In order to gain good achievements in scientific research and technology transfer in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta, the CENRes has strengthened itself, especially in the following fields: Bio-diversity conservation, environmental quality assessment, environmental toxicology, waste water and solid waste treatment in urban areas, water resource engineering, environmental impact assessment, strategic environment, environment management, land-use planning and GIS applications.

Intensive researches are to support the on-going educational programmes. In fact, different undergraduate and master theses and PhD projects have been successfully defensed and many of them have been published in different national and international peer-review scientific journals.

Vision
CENRes aspires to be a premier center for advanced training and research in environmental and natural resource fields within Southeast Asia. The college aims to meet the standards of leading universities and quality accreditation organizations in the region, striving to become a strong research and innovation unit that plays a key role in environmental protection in the Mekong Delta.

Mission
The mission of CENRes encompasses training, scientific research, and technology transfer in the field of environment and natural resources. The college is committed to creating products for environmental protection and serving the sustainable socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region, Vietnam, and the entire country.
