GCA

The Green Community Alliance (GCA) is a non-profit organization established in 2011 under the Prime Minister’s Decree on Associations No. 238/GOV, dated 11th August 2017. GCA is dedicated to fostering sustainable development and environmental conservation through a holistic and community-driven approach.

With expertise in network and alliance building, GCA actively connects stakeholders, including civil society organizations, local communities, and policymakers, to promote collaborative solutions for environmental and social challenges. The organization also focuses on community capacity development, providing training, resources, and technical support to empower local communities in managing their natural resources effectively.

GCA plays a key role in community forest management, advocating for sustainable forestry practices, land tenure rights, and biodiversity conservation. Additionally, it works to enhance rural livelihoods by supporting sustainable agriculture, eco-friendly enterprises, and market linkages that improve economic opportunities for marginalized groups.

As part of its mission, GCA is strongly committed to climate justice promotion, ensuring that vulnerable communities have a voice in climate policies and adaptation strategies. It also integrates gender equality into all its initiatives, striving to create inclusive and equitable opportunities for women and marginalized groups in decision-making and resource management.

Through its diverse programs and partnerships, GCA continues to drive impactful change, strengthening community resilience and promoting sustainable environmental practices across Laos.
