A Change for the Better: The Case Study of Mrs. Chorn Sang

This document details the agroecological transformation of Mrs. Chorn Sang, a 52-year-old Master Farmer from Kampong Thom province, Cambodia. Cultivating a small 0.23-hectare plot, she initially relied on expensive commercial seeds and intensive chemical inputs that caused consumer distrust and product waste. After receiving peer-to-peer training via the PArTNER project in late 2024, Sang adopted agroecological practices, incorporating homemade liquid composts, local seeds, and bio-char. These ecological shifts significantly lowered production costs, restored local soil biodiversity, enhanced chemical-free air quality, and nearly quadrupled her net seasonal income.
