This publication is a Lao-language textbook on agroforestry developed for the Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences program based on the curriculum framework of the National University of Laos. Organized into seven chapters, it provides foundational knowledge ranging from the history and technical concepts of agroforestry to its role in delivering multiple value chains, including food, biomass, and medicinal products, as well as approaches to sustainable planning and management. Dedicated chapters focus on agroforestry practices for sloping lands, covering erosion control measures such as terracing, the use of the A-frame method, and the Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT) model. The textbook is used in the course “Developing of Teaching and Learning Materials in Agroecology at University Level in the Lao PDR.”
