This document reports on a food safety study in Luang Prabang and Pakxeng markets, led by Dr. Vongpasith Chanthakhoun from the Faculty of Agriculture and Forest Resources, Souphanouvong University under the Northern Upland Development Program (AgriNet-2). Conducted in 2016, it analyzed contamination in 407 food samples, highlighting pesticide residues in vegetables and bacterial contamination in aquatic products and wild meat, and recommending stronger government oversight, food safety policies, and consumer education.
