FNN

The Farmer and Nature Net Association (FNN) was officially registered at the Ministry of Interior on March 10, 2006, which performs as:
-A net who work at village level, is independent, and it’s decision are making with the members.
-A voluntary and independent farmer organisation governed by farmers.
-Not involved in politics and non-political parties.
-A network which cooperate with all institutions, units or national and international associations aiming to serve the farmers’ interests.

Goals and Objectives
The goal of the Farmer and Nature Net is to “promote family economic equity for farmers and rural communities and sustainability.
The objective of the Farmer and Nature Net is to link the local farmer associations in various provinces in Cambodia and overseas in order to:
-Unite as one force to protect the farmer’s rights and interests and to be a warmth and hopefulness for the farmer
-Serve as a warmness and hope for farmer associations
-Promote the ecological agriculture movement in the whole country
-Promote the rural society of cooperation and good solidarity between farmer and farmer and other stakeholders
-Support the associations in developing agriculture and managing local natural resources
-Assure the cooperation between associations and organisations and relevant institutions inside and outside the country

Mission
FNN is highly committed to strengthening the farmer organisation through promoting innovation in ecological agriculture, community business markets, saving-credit, and increasing social cooperation.
Last updated in 2017, individual members of FNN are 57,351 (37,596 of whom are female) in 15 provinces, 56 districts, 214 communes, 804 villages, and 820 officially registered agricultural cooperatives. Consolidated saving capital of self-help groups and cooperatives under FNN are around US$30,000,000, institutional funds are around US$1,000,000, reserved funds are around US$30,000 and social funds are around US$80,000. In terms of market linkages, FNN has facilitated some agricultural cooperatives (members of FNN) to link their organic products – rice, chickens and vegetables – to AMRU Rice Company and Khmer Organic Cooperative, while another potential buyer, Signature of Asia Company, is also in the process of negotiation with FNN.
