This brief draws on the analysis performed by World Vegetable Center (WVC) in their scoping study titled “Agroecology for climate-resilient and nourishing food systems: A scoping study of priorities for research and development actions in Southeast Asia” (2024). The brief presents how research priorities identified in the scoping study match the 13 principles of agroecology as proposed by the HLPE-CFS, and highlights how investing in these priorities would contribute to advancing research in the field of agroecology, as well as informing food system transformations in Southeast Asia more broadly.
